Huon Aquaculture Fires Back at Forrest After Animal Welfare Comments
Huon Aquaculture’s CEO Peter Bender responded to mining magnate Andrew Forrest’s comments regarding animal husbandry and environmental stewardship.
Forrest, through his investment vehicle Tattarang owns shares in Huon and grew his stake in the company after Huon announced it will be acquired by Brazilian meat giant JBS.
The Australian Broadcasting Association, 75% of stakeholders need to approve the deal and Forrest has made moves that could threaten the deal, with Tattarang becoming the second-largest shareholder earlier this week.
